We are looking for a Visual Journalist to design and develop graphics, interactive features and web applications for CNBC.com.
The Visual Journalist will work with a small team in the CNBC newsroom, using information design and web development to help readers explore and understand the data behind the news.
.The ideal candidate will have experience with: – front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and Javascript; – data visualization libraries like Raphael, D3, processing; – and mapping tools such as TileMill, QGIS, TopoJSON - Must be able to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
andidates should also be able to demonstrate interest in several core subject areas such as business, economics, sports, and lifestyle. There will be additional emphasis on finding new ways to use data in creative ways online, pushing the boundaries of storytelling through databases, maps and visualizations.
