Infogr8 is a boutique, data led content agency specialising in information design & data visualization. Set up in 2012, we join data, design, and content strategy via a tried and trusted framework as a single need to bring static data to life; charts should be for everyone.

It’s been consistent growth here in our first 24 months, having worked with leading organisations helping deliver accurate and informative visual campaigns. We are 100% privately owned and managed, allowing us to set our own environment and allow the team freedom, responsibility and the opportunity to grow within our own respective roles. The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is immersed in data visualization and loves building new things that hold value and purpose.

Responsibilities

Responsible for defining, developing, testing and optimizing custom development builds from concept to completion with efficiency and purpose.
Cultivating the development arm of infogr8 and setting high standards for front and back end collaborators to follow in terms of coding practice, tools and processes.
Working closely with the design team to create mock ups, labs hacks and fast working agile prototypes for various data driven visual solutions.

Coding/Development

Develop infogr8’s key client needs across mid-large development projects. Expect data led visual stories, custom charts, maps, dashboards, interactive reports and explorative visualization.
Creation of animation effects using JavaScript and CSS3.
Working from Illustrator files and creating accurate HTML / CSS code.
Identifying and debugging code errors and browser quirk corrections.
Contribute to raising the standards and value of the development discipline by iteratively improving the infogr8 development manual and the the talent collaboration pool.
Developing close working relationships with the team and respecting data and creative.

Innovation/hacks

To lead the development for labs experimentation, internal hacks and product developments.
Identify opportunities to partner with respected orgs to produce innovative product where data visualization holds significant value. To cultivate the visualisation and development community to collaborate on hacks with infogr8.

Role Requirements

You have:

A minimum of 3 year’s proven development experience with a portfolio showing a range of data led interactive projects deployed for different audiences.
HTML, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, Knockout.js, jQuery, node, angular, JavaScript Infographic frameworks ( D3js, Protovis, processing.js, polymaps, flare.js, Raphael.js), grunt/gulp, recline and SQL.
Full CSS suite expertise a must, considerable experience of PHP development (no frameworks) will strengthen applications.
Demonstrated experience working with complex data sets in Excel/XML.
Experience building interactive dashboards from numerous data sources.
Clear understanding of data visualization principles.
Clear understanding of usability, accessibility across a range of digital devices.
Team player. You have the gravitas that can justify your rationale to steer clients and colleagues into a direction that allows business objectives to be met.
Excellent documentation skills.
You exude positivity, energy, judgement and a need to ‘ship’.
Advantageous:

Passion for making sense of large amounts of disparate
information, or statistical analysis would be great.
Experience integrating with third party API’s, Mobile dev experience, Net.
After Effects, Flash, Ruby, Tableau.
