SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Designs infographics, proposals, slides, and reports using best practices in layout, typography, and color
Presents design and art work to internal clients
Translates approved objectives into work plans and procedures

Formulate basic layout design or presentation approach, an specify material details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, video and sound

Helps to ensure brand standards and design standards are maintained in all projects

Confidently communicate and present creative concepts and design rationale

I have an amazing positive and infectious personality coupled with over 20 years of work experience and exposure to deadline-oriented environments, it has allowed me to determine and communicate the best visual solutions effectively, comprehensively and professionally while meeting the custom needs of each client. My most recent projects include an in depth informational graphic on safety and the use of antibiotics for NRDC (Nation Resource Defense Council) and a series of very informative CAO statistical graphics for ACE (American Council on Education).

I have formerly worked as a staffed informational graphics specialist for USA TODAY and U.S. News & World Report and as art director for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. I 've channeled my professional experience to empower youths as a visual arts instructor at my former high school Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC instructing graphic design, computer graphics and drawing. I have received my BFA in Visual Communications from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
