The A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland is now hiring for a Data Visualizer/Designer. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced creative individual with strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to graphically translate complex scientific and technical ideas for a wide variety of audiences. The data visualizer/designer will create visualizations and graphics for research proposals, publications, marketing materials, and other documents. This position will also create a variety of insightful graphic design products and provide technical advice and guidance on design and technical graphics issues.
The successful candidate must be able to multitask, work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment, learn quickly, and work independently within proposal, college, and university guidelines. The successful candidate will display the willingness and initiative to help improve Clark School processes and methods for print and digital production and understand the balance between project communication needs and production limitations.
