**THIS IS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT TO PERMANENT HIRE WITH A CLIENT LOOKING FOR A SR. MANAGER OF DATA VISUALIZATION AND REPORTING**

THE POSITION SITS IN NORTH AUSTIN AND DOES NOT ALLOW FOR REMOTE WORK (IN WHOLE OR IN PART) AND IS NOT FOR APPLICANTS SEEKING TEMPORARY CONTRACT/CONSULTING ENGAGEMENTS.

THERE IS A MAXIMUM BASE SALARY OF $130,000 + 10% ANNUAL COMPANY PERFORMANCE BONUS MAX UPON CONVERTING TO A FULL TIME EMPLOYEE OF OUR CLIENT AFTER THE 90 DAY CONTRACT TERM.

WE ARE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE VP TO SCREEN CANDIDATES, SCHEDULE INTERVIEWS AND FILL THIS POSITION ASAP (IDEAL START DATE IS EARLY TO MID-NOVEMBER). THIS POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THIS VP.

JOB SUMMARY

Position will lead and grow a dispersed team of 5-15 Data Visualization and Reporting Analysts and Developers of work closely with multiple business partners to develop and design actionable business dashboards. The team of Data Visualization and Reporting Analysts and Developers will work primarily with the following technology stack (MSQL, SSMS, Excel, and Tableau) and at times may delve into R and/or Python. Analysts will focus on designing and developing data visualization which allows for drill down ability from executive to agent. Visual metaphors such as speedometers, gauges and expressive faces will be designed to present data in context of meaning. Your ability to deal with uncertainty and make decisions with little oversight will be critical to your success. Critical thinking and the ability to seamlessly span the divide between technology and business is an absolute must.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities, and makes recommendations for improvement. Researches new technologies related to BI and makes recommendations or leads implementation of new systems.
• Measures effectiveness of improvements through deep analysis of data on performance metrics striving for cost effective high quality improvements.
• Carries out post-event analysis to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with the change.
• Drives the technical Business Intelligence processes, infrastructure, monitoring and tools for project delivery.
• Drives operational excellence through standardization of agreed upon best practices. Drives out defects and ensures processes are in place to positively impact agent and customer experience.
• Supports internal and external program teams for scheduled feature deployments obtaining reporting requirements documents, obtaining signoff, managing risks, and developing key insights on the enhancements.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Develop and automate data streams and push/pull analytics
• Build dashboards, graphs, click through analytics and visual metaphors
• Harness big data into simple to understand insights
• Design web interfaces and/or visual analytics from agent to executive level
• Integrate speech analytics data, Quality insight and coaching packages into a single analytics pathway
• Pinpoints business requirements and analytical needs.
• Identifies and recommends useful supplementary data sources.
• Translate complex analysis into simple and actionable insights.
• Build tools that power performance and ROI
• Knack for quickly discerning ad-hoc requests and optimal metrics.
• Quantitatively proficient
• Adherence and documentation of data management regulations and policies.
• May be asked to mentor/teach less experienced analysts and consultants.
• Could partner with technology groups on small to medium scale projects.
• Design valid experiments, recommend results, and maximize return
• Develop consistent, repeatable, data processes that ensure consistency across the entire org

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• 7 plus years of reporting or analytics experience or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering,
• 3+ years of direct team management experience (5-15 directs) as team lead and/or team/dept. manager.
• Highly Proficient in SQL and relational database analytical tools, as well as a willingness to pick up new skills in this area
• Experience with ETL tools a plus. Experience working with large data sets a plus (200MM+)
• Strong business acumen & demonstrated aptitude for analytics that incite action- 'Lean forward' bias to find opportunities and drive results
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication skills ability to 'tell the story'. Capacity and comfort communicating with all levels of stakeholders (C-level to Customers)
• Ability to work effectively across functions, disciplines and levels
• Confident working with various groups (business analysts, developers, and end users)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience managing dispersed teams and developing resources preferred.
• Robust SQL skills (window functions, denormalization, normalization, procedures, validation)
• Experience with ETL tools a plus. Experience working with large data sets a plus (200MM+)
• Familiarity with data warehouse development
• Experience gathering requirements that identify root cause analysis
• Skilled in creating presentations from C-level to the individual contributor
• Experience with R or Python
• Experience with Machine Learning
• Extensive knowledge of research and analysis for a business setting
• Cable, telecommunications or technology industry experience a plus
• Product Owner experience a plus
