Secrets of a Killer Blog Post: Images

Secrets of a Killer Blog Post: Images infographic

It can be hard to run a successful blog. Here at Cool Infographics, we strongly believe in graphics and images (big surprise right?). But if you still need a little persuading, the Secrets of a Killer Blog Post: Images infographic can tell you more great things about images and what they can do for your blog.

You already know that well-researched, high-quality content is the backbone of a killer blog post. But don’t underestimate the importance of a strong visual component when you’re composing your latest and greatest update for your audience

The human brain processes images in as little as 13 milliseconds—less than the blink of an eye.

A post with an image is far more enticing to the bounce-happy readers of the Internet than one without, and is more likely to be shared on social media as well.

There’s a lot of information in this one!  Everything this design mentions about photos and images applies to posting infographics as well.

Another great option is to try out Getty Embed and get access to an even larger selection of images to use in your blog. Check it out: http://www.gettyimages.com/embed (for more info) http://www.gettyimages.com/embeds (to search only embeddable images)!

Great! Never underestimate the effect of images on your content, something i learned too is that pictures and opinions are what people share a lot currently. They create more interaction, and more activity. It's also a good method to share your post. If you want to see more, i also shared an infographic regarding what people are sharing more on social media, from what country, and what age, very cool information especially when a company is planning a social media strategy. I believe combining links together with pictures from your blog post is the way to go. Check out the infographic i shared here http://www.techpurge.com/pictures-opinions-top-people-share-social-networks-infographic/
