Bestselling Movies are Not the Most Pirated Ones Online

Posted by metrobest on Flickr, a cool infographic showing that the most pirated movies on the web are not the bestselling, blockbusters you might expect.  Not sure who the author is, but it may be "5W Infographics EspaƱa"

Interesting facts, but the stats in the lower right part of the graphic are misleading and seem to be a shabby shot at making a visual point. They represent "% of global internet users WHO VISIT the website" VISIT, not "download pirated material from the website" That means every CS/IT/geek student/guy who has ever searched a torrent site for a Linux distro, tried to find some open source goodies for that old x386 they have in the garage, or (heaven forbid) tried to create their own legitimate torrent to distribute anything that wasn't pirated, well, it's all included in there. Not to mention every journalist writing article about the media-hated websites, or anybody curious enough about said journalists' resultant work to google the sites.

And I'm not even going to touch source reference (2) at the bottom. That would just be unfair.
