I don't understand why there are 2 decision steps at the end"
- Has it been 12 months since you got you G2 license?
- Has it been 5 years since you got you G2 license?

Not everyone decides to go for the full licence (G) at all - the only benefit it gives is the 5% discount that insurance companies provide to G-licensed drivers. That's basically the only difference between the G2 and G.

That's exactly the reason why a lot of people decide to stick to their G2 licence until it expires (after five years), even though technically they could schedule their G exam after only 12 months. So this is why we have included 2 final decision steps:

1) Optional: for those who want to take their G test asap (which is 12 months after they got their G2 licence)
2) Mandatory: For those whose G2 licence has expired (when it has been 5 years since they obtained it) and they have to take the next step if they want to keep driving.

i have a valid license from india and driving experience of 6 years.
i heard that 12 month period from g1 to g license can be waived if you have a valid driving license from another country and
a driving experience of more than three years.
is this true?
if yes then whats the procedure
