The Psychology of Color
The Psychology of Color is a cool infographic from CertaPro Painters of Louisville.
This new infographic from CertaPro Painters of Louisville shows how color evokes emotion and triggers your senses. It beautifully explores colors that should and should not be used in interior decorating, as well as why certain colors are used in advertising.
Designed by NowSourcing.com, I love the visual appeal of this design. Obviously, it’s bright and colorful, but in all three sections of the layout (home, colors and advertising) they provide visual examples to back up their observations about different colors. I would love to have a house that colorful!
There is much more information on this subject, but this design also kept the information fairly simple and straightforward. The colors make the design very “busy”, but the design doesn’t try to communicate too much information to the reader.
The design is missing the URL to find the original landing page, and a copyright statement. I also found it odd that they needed to clarify that M&Ms are “an American Chocolate Candy”. Aren’t M&Ms an international brand?
Thanks to Jay for sending in the link! Also found on Infographic Journal.

still, western culture, which this circus thrives in, black is the color of authority as judges who have the authority to declare the rule/s. You are still alive until the coroner pronouces you dead, no matter what. Funeral attire by funeral directors and mourners wear black. The famous black dress, is viewed as the hottest dress each year, and women search for each year's version.
People love the band The Cure because they are black, wear black and display the entire vibration which is specific to the color black.
Now... what do they all have in common? They are PROTECTIVE color and when you wear black you are protected and if you child who during puberty or is unhappy during post puberty as a teenager and wears black or paints their room black, it is a SOLUTION to a problem they are having and it does protect.
all things have luck - all colors have luck, some are more prosperous thank other. But to deny the black stages of our life, the times like winter when we stay inside and collect ourselves, we're just in the huddle before spring contemplating, reviewing and by the time spring rolls around the colors of our experience will change.
Have you ever had a spring that didnt come after winter? did the coroner or judge wear a hawaiian shirt when you were found not guilty or when the news came that a familty member died, who did it come from and when was it certain. The death certificate which was signed by the only person who has the power to say someone is deceased.
Black means winter
Black is a yin color, white is yang
yin is feminine not necessarily female
But I also love my home library; was ecstatic the first time we moved and I got to ditch the living room for built in bookshelves and a home library. The first color was teal walls with white bookshelves and woodwork including plantation shutters, the second color I chose was red with white. Wonderful library to sit, chill and read.

They even went as far as to steal whole sections (such as what to paint each room and why) and pass it off as their own. Extremely disappointing that plagiarism of this level makes it onto a highly reputable blog like this one, not that the editor was to know of course, but still, the designers and the brand behind it should be aware that ripping off other people's work to this degree really isn't on.
